Garden Club by the Sea is proud to offer scholarships to local students pursuing degrees that support our club objectives of conservation, beautificaation and education. We support youth in developing a respect and protection of our environment.
The Garden Club by the Sea scholarship is offered to undergraduate or graduate college students who are residents of Brevard County, citizens of the United States, and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full-time student pursuing a degree related to Environmental Sciences or Horticulture. Applications are accepted by our Scholarship Chairman between December 1 and February 1. Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of April.
Marina Curtis - “I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture Science at the University of Florida. Hopefully, this will enable me to help create sustainable gardens everywhere-from impoverished communities to Mars.”
Aliya Monroe - “I’m majoring in Plant Science, although I have a passion for Environmental Horticulture and Floriculture. After graduation, I plan to pursue an industry career in landscaping or greenhouse management.”
Chloe Oullette - "I will be graduating in May 2020 with a degree in Horticulture Sciences and a minor in Management and Sales in Agribusiness. After graduation, I will be heading to Napa for a six month internship at Stagecoach Vineyard where I will learn more about viticulture and operations.”
