Dear fellow Garden Club by the Sea friends, I can hardly believe how quickly my term has gone. Knowing it soon will be coming to an end, is really hard to imagine. I have been blessed to work with such great ladies, always eager and willing to help, whenever needed. Thank you all! I appreciate each of you for your support. You’ve made my job easy! We had a nice meeting last month at the lovely home of Lynda Gilbert, where she opened her beautiful new kitchen for us to enjoy! We learned a great deal about edible landscaping from our program presenter, Lucia Chankersingh. We have had some great programs throughout the last two years, thanks to Judy and Pat and their efforts in planning them. They have planned a wonderful field trip for us next month, but remember, we must pay for this in advance. We should have a fun day! Please attend! Also, please remember to bring your cash or checks to purchase your brick paver, if you have not yet done so. February is the deadline to purchase and all members are required to buy at least one paver. We also need to try to sell additional bricks if possible. Ladies, please keep in mind that this is our fundraiser for the last two years. Since we only do one every other year, it is essential to make this fundraiser successful, so everyone must do their part. It’s actually a very easy way to raise the funds necessary for our scholarships. I look forward to seeing everyone at our general meeting on February 15th at the beautiful riverfront home of Mary Deffebach. Jane Templeton will present our program. I wish you all a sweet and Happy Valentine’s Day!
